Fuel Assistance for New Hampshire Residents
No one should go without heat due to temporary financial hardships. If you are having difficulty paying your heating bills (or someone you know is), assistance may be available to you through the New Hampshire Fuel Assistance Program. Managed by the Office of Strategic Initiatives and funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Fuel Assistance Program is our statewide arm of the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
Benefits range depending on household income and energy costs, and the Fuel Assistance Program may be able to:
- Assist with heating costs
- Secure an emergency delivery of fuel
- Delay a shut-off notice
- Refer residents to additional assistance program
Additional programs include the Electric Assistance Program, Weatherization Assistance Program and SAFETANK Financial Assistance Program.
