Giving Back to Our Community is Part of the Stafford Oil & Propane Mission

From the first day George C. Stafford & Sons opened its doors, the company has been committed to giving back to the community and customers who have given us so much. Our mission to help our neighbors and friends has guided us through four generations.

As a company we support many local charities and organizations in the Lakes Region and surrounding communities. Our leaders are on the boards of several local organizations and deeply involved in the Laconia Rotary Club and Laconia Elks Lodge. Our staff is equally involved, holding fundraising events to provide immediate help to families in crisis.

We run the following charitable campaigns every year:

UNITED WAY

We are united in our efforts to support this outstanding organization. Our annual campaigns kick off at our Employee Appreciation Dinner, where employees can sign up for payroll withdrawals to support the United Way. Those who opt in are entered into a drawing for a lavish prize. Many employees also participate in the United Way Day of Sharing, spending the day working for an affiliated agency. To date, corporate and employee donations have totaled more than $140,000.

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION

We participate in the CITGO MDA fundraising activities every year, taking a major role in the local efforts to help fight against neuromuscular diseases and send children to MDA summer camps.

EASTERSEALS/VETERANS COUNT

This organization, supported by the Energy Marketers Association of NH and administrated by Easterseals, provides active military personnel with home heating fuel. Stafford Oil & Propane donates and delivers heating fuel to servicemen and –women within our service area each year.
