From Comfort to Community: How Stafford Oil & Propane Contributes Locally

August 15, 2024

At Stafford Oil & Propane, we never forget how lucky we are to serve Belknap County and the surrounding Lakes Region communities with reliable heating and cooling services. Since 1928, we have given back to the community that has given us so much over our nearly 100 years of operations. Whether it’s sponsoring local events or participating in the CITGO MDA fundraising activities to help fight against neuromuscular diseases and send children to MDA summer camps, our community always comes first.

United Way Donations

Every year, during our Employee Appreciation Dinner, Stafford Oil & Propane employees are given the opportunity to sign up for payment withdrawals to support United Way. Many of our employees also participate in the United Way Day of Sharing, where they spend a day working for an affiliated agency of the non-profit. To date, our corporate and employee donations have totaled more than $140,000!

More local community organizations we support include:

  • The Boys and Girls Club of the Lakes Region
  • Churches and religious organizations
  • Got Lunch!
  • Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction
  • Laconia Multicultural Festival
  • Lakes Region Community Developers
  • Lakes Region Community Services
  • Lakes Region Conservation Trust
  • Lakes Region Mental Health Center
  • Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation
  • Law enforcement agencies
  • Mayhew Program
  • Special Olympics
  • VFW
  • Youth sports teams and events
  • Many, many more!

As long as Stafford Oil & Propane is keeping the homes and businesses in the Lakes Region comfortable, we will continue to support our community every way we can!

"We have been with Stafford for years. Had an issue with the furnace and we had a next day appointment (could have been same day but I had to reschedule). Tech called when he was on route and fixed the problem. Matt (the tech) was courteous and took the time to answer my questions so I would have a better understanding of how our furnace works and what I can do for "self service". My dad always says "you get what you pay for" and I feel we are getting a great value for our dollar."
